Now’s the time to give your feedback on the most urgent community needs in Missoula!

In a joint effort, the City of Missoula and Missoula County invite community feedback to help identify needs and gaps in services related to

  • the construction of housing,
  • housing rehab,
  • public and community facility development and improvements (e.g., infrastructure, sidewalks, utilities, shelters, daycare centers, etc.),
  • economic development, and
  • social services.

You can take the assessment here: https://missoulacountyvoice.com/community-needs-assessment/survey_tools/2022-missoula-city-county-community-needs-assessment

Don’t wait: the assessment is open Tuesday October 11th and will close Friday, Oct. 28 at 3pm!

Completing the survey will take approximately 5-10 minutes. All your responses are confidential and anonymous, and everyone is invited to participate.

The results will be presented during a public meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, in the Missoula County Courthouse Sophie Moiese Room. An option to attend virtually will also be available.

Your feedback is the first step in determining how to effectively use U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) entitlement and non-entitlement funds through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) programs.

Please note:
  • For the purpose of this assessment, the term “affordable housing” is defined by HUD to mean a housing payment at or below 30% of a household’s gross income.
  • Funds are not guaranteed for the priorities and needs identified in the assessment.

Your responses to the survey not only fulfill a funding requirement from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, but also provide important feedback that directs federal dollars to programs that support community objectives you want to see supported.
