City Leaf Collection Extends into December
The City of Missoula’s Street Maintenance & Operations Division crews will continue to pick up leaves into December until all bulk collection is completed or weather conditions no longer allow it.
Update for the week of Nov. 25:
- Collection continues in Area 2. Crews are currently picking up between Brooks and Arthur streets and North and South avenues and expect to have this done on Monday.
- Collection in Area 3 also continues. Crews are currently working south of Mount Ave. and between Stephens Ave., Reserve St., Brooks St., and South Ave.
- Collection in Area 4 is expected to begin Dec. 2.
Please see the Leaf Collection map at www.ci.missoula.mt.us/3069/Leaf-Collection to find your area and to see additional information.
For residents who don’t want to wait for their collection date, who miss their collection date, or whose trees drop more leaves after their collection date, they are invited to take their leaves to Garden City Compost at no charge during the City's leaf collection process. This is for leaves only. Loads with branches and other tree or yard debris will be charged regular prices. Please see Garden City’s web page at www.ci.missoula.mt.us/2089/Garden-City-Compost or call 406-552-6619 for location and hours.
Please remember that street sweepers are following the bulk collection crews, but they operate much slower than the collection equipment. Sweeping will continue until the weather conditions no longer allow them to operate.
Best regards,
