View Parks Master Plan community feedback and share your thoughtsAfter a year of extensive community engagement, Parks and Recreation has completed its public outreach for the Parks, Recreation, Open Space and Trails (PROST) Master Plan. The department employed multiple research methods, including a statistically representative survey from the University of Montana's Bureau of Business and Economic Research (BBER), workshops, focus groups, and interviews to understand community priorities. Key findings from the BBER survey reveal residents' top priorities: - Walkable neighborhoods and trail connections
- Maintaining clean air and water
- Accessible park facilities for people with disabilities
- Expanding family-friendly afterschool and summer programming
The department will use these insights to draft parks and recreation goals for the next 10 to 15 years. Residents can view the community outreach results and provide additional input by taking a brief online survey at www.missoula.mt.us/prost through December 21.
