Missoula Parks and Recreation has released the draft Parks, Recreation, Open Space and Trails (PROST) 2040 Master Plan—and we want your feedback!

Here’s what to know:

After two years of community input, the draft PROST Plan is ready for public comment.

  • Comment deadline: June 3, 2025, at 12 p.m.
  • Share feedback online or at in-person events.
  • The plan outlines a shared 15-year vision, prioritizing smart growth and community values.
  • It supports affordable housing, public health, and a thriving environment.

Upcoming Public Engagement Opportunities 

  • Online review and brief public comment survey: www.missoulaparks.org/prost, from May 16–June 3 at 12 p.m.
  • Open House at Currents Aquatics Center, Headwaters Conference Room: Monday, June 2, 4:30–6:30 p.m.
  • City Chats in the Park, Tuesday, June 3, 4:30–6:30 p.m., McLeod Park, 1550 W. Kent Ave.

Parks and Recreation will present the draft plan at upcoming public board and City Council meetings, where public comments are welcome.
