Missoula Parks and Recreation will unveil master park plans for two Farviews-Pattee Canyon neighborhood parks at a public open house on Wednesday, January 16, 2019. Residents are invited to view the draft master plans for Whitaker and Ninkpata parks from 5 to 7 p.m. at UM’s Lewis and Clark Village meeting room, 3000 S. Higgins.
Parks and Recreation staff will present the draft master park plans, summarize the design process and explain the next steps for future park development. Residents will have a chance to ask questions and comment on the proposed plans. Light refreshments will be served.

Territorial Landworks Training: This two day course focuses on storm water management requirements levied by State and Federal agencies for the protection of waterways during construction. Additionally, the course will offer tips and tools to simplify the permitting process. The following items are topics that will be covered and tested 1) Proper employment and maintenance of Best Management Practices (BMPs) for erosion and sediment control. 2) Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) requirements for development, implementation, maintenance, revision and updates. 3) State and Federal agency compliance inspections. 4) Documentation of SWPPP inspections and evaluations. 5) BMP inspections and evaluations. 6) General permit information, criteria and requirements.
