John Engen assumed office on Jan. 2, 2006 following a 2005 race that began with six candidates. He ran unopposed during the November 3, 2009 election and was re-elected for a second, 4-year term which began Jan. 4, 2010. He is currently serving his fifth term. John Engen is Missoula’s 50th mayor.
