Weather at Splash Montana

If you are need further clarification of these policies, please call 542-WAVE or 721-PARK.

When does Splash Montana close for weather?
We are required to get everyone out of the water and into covered areas whenever lightning or thunder are observed. When this happens, we are required to keep everyone out of the water for 30 minutes. If lightning or thunder is observed again within that half hour, the 30 minute clock starts over. This same process will occur if it is raining so hard that our lifeguards cannot see the bottom of the pool. If the bad weather continues, the manager may make the call to close for the day.

Can I get a refund for bad weather?
No. If in the event we close for the day due to weather, and you've been in the park for less than one hour, you can get a voucher to return to Splash Montana at a later date. Please note, we do not always close for the entire day when lightning or thunder is observed. We are required to get everyone out of the water and in a covered space for 30 minutes after the lightning or thunder is observed. If the weather looks like it'll pass, and we will reopen, you do not get a voucher to return at a later date.

What happens if the weather is bad or too cold for swim lessons? Make up sessions will be on Fridays at the same time as your scheduled lesson. Make up sessions will only occur if the Lesson Supervisor decides that it is not ideal to get the kids in the water. Please call 542-WAVE to see if your lesson is going to happen.
