What’s the best way to spend your Friday night? Come out to Fort Missoula Regional Park for this epic glow party featuring live music by the Ghost Peppers, DIY glowing lawn game competition, light maze, glow themed art display, costume contest, florescent photo booth, and more!
Local artists are invited to display their dimensional light or glow-themed works at the event. Glow Fest also includes a lawn game contest – invent your own glow-themed game and win a Sonos Play wireless portable speaker. See below for details on the Art Show and Game Contest.
The event is open to the public. UM students can catch a free bus to Fort Missoula Regional Park at Maurice and Connell, between the Fine Arts and Music buildings. The free shuttle will start at 6:45 p.m. and will depart from campus approximately every 45 minutes.
Participants can also bike to the Fort with the Missoula Bike Ambassadors, departing from the Carousel in Caras Park at 6:30 p.m.

Glow Fest Call for Art
Missoula Parks and Recreation is looking for visual artists to showcase their work for Glow Fest at the Fort. Art should have a glowing, celestial or use creative lighting in their theme.
The showcase is free and open to all regional artists.
2-D & 3-D formats are encouraged.
Art should be appropriate for all audiences and be ready for display.
MPR will provide 8' banquet tables to booth your work.
Any necessary podiums/easels are the artist’s responsibility.
Artists are able to provide contact information to interested buyers. However, they are not permitted to sell their work on site due to city vending restrictions.
Participating artists can bring their work in advance to Currents Aquatics Center by Wednesday Sept. 6th 6:00 p.m. or they can bring their work to the Bella Vista Pavilion at Fort Missoula Regional Park by 6:00 p.m. on Sept. 8, the day of the event.

Missoula Parks and Recreation challenges you to make the winning glowing lawn game at Glow Fest Friday, September 8th. Bring your ready to play glow lawn game to the Bella Vista Pavilion inside Fort Missoula Regional Park at 6:00 p.m. the day of the event and you could be the winner of free tech. Games must be safe and adhere to all park and contest rules.
Contest Rules: Games must be ready to play on the day of the event. Games may be purchased or custom made but must have a glowing element to them. Games must have a representative from 7-10 p.m. explaining how to play to participants. Games must be able to be played in the dark without damaging the facility. Games must be safe and appropriate for all ages. Winners are determined by popular vote at the event and announced live at 9:30 p.m. Representative of group must be present to win. Join Missoula Parks and Recreation for a night of games from the 70's and beyond! Two back to back Fridays! September 22 and September 29 from 3-8 p.m. at Fort Missoula Regional Park.
Try out the Pac Man maze, mini golf, jumbo Jenga, human Hungry, Hungry Hippos and of course all your favorite traditional board games. We will have learn to play demos for Dungeons & Dragons and Magic the Gathering hosted by Muse Comics and Games. You can also join in on interactive group games hosted by local non-profits, or test your brain at Big Sky Break Out's escape room demo.
This FREE community event has a suggested donation of $5 which helps support future community programs at the Fort. Activities take place at the Bella Vista Plaza & Pavilion.
Join us for the 17th annual beloved FREE community event Fall Family Fest taking place for the first time at Fort Missoula Regional Park on Saturday, October 21 from 1 to 4pm.
This traditional fall family event is going to be even bigger and more fun! We are enhancing the event with even more hay rides, live kids band entertainment, a costume parade, pumpkin painting and more. We will also have interactive activities for youth and their families.
